A clean indoor shoe with a hard rubber sole is recommended. Your skin has oils that can soak into the carpet, and socks are like sandpaper to carpet.
If there is urine or faeces in the carpet, we use an emulsifier to bring the bacteria to the surface, then we apply a deodorizer after the cleaning. This service does cost extra.
